Tangkoko Nature Reserve is a great destination for those who are interested in wildlife watching and photography tour. It is located in northern region of Minahasa peninsula. It is the habitat of a lot of species of animals such as Gursky's Spectral Tarsier, Sulawesi Bear Cuscus, and Celebes-crested Macaque. Various species of birds can also be seen in the forest during the tour. They include Green-backed Kingfisher, Sulawesi Lilac Kingfisher, Sulawesi Dwarf Kingfisher, Great-billed Kingfisher, Knobbed Hornbill, Sulawesi Dwarf Hornbill, Purple-winged Roller, Yellow-billed Malkoha, and etc.

Another interesting destination for wildlife watching is Minahasa Highland. There are a lot of species of colourful birds that we could watch in this region such as Scaly-breasted Kingfisher, Sulawesi Cuckoo-dove, Sulawesi Myzomela, Crimson-crowned Flowerpecker, Crimson Sunbird, Superb Fruit Dove, and etc.
Wild flower plants that grow in the village, farmland, and forest attract butterflies that are interesting to be watched and photograph. There are Common Birdwing, Clipper Butterfly, Blanchard's Wood Nymph, Blanchard's Ghost, Sacred Tabby, and etc.

Day 1. Manado city - Temboan Hill - Homestay in Tangkoko
When you arrive at Sam Ratulangi International Airport of Manado city, we will meet you and organize your transfer by car to Tangkoko Nature Reserve. It takes around 2 hours to reach it depending on the traffic.
Check into a lodge or homestay. Take a rest.
We will watch and photograph birds and butterflies in Temboan Hill. There are Finch-billed Myna, Black-naped Fruit-dove, Sulawesi Cicadabird, Black-billed Koel, Green Imperial Pigeon, Gray-cheeked Green Pigeon, Sulawesi Hanging Parrot, and etc.
Day 2. Tangkoko Forest
We will enter Tangkoko forest 06:00. We will look for Green-backed Kingfisher, Lilac Kingfisher, Ashy Woodpecker, Knobbed Hornbill, Spot-tailed Goshawk. We will also check the riverside to look for Nankeen Night Heron, Little Egret, and Great-billed Kingfisher.
In late afternoon, we will look for Sulawesi, Bear Cuscus, White-necked Myna, Gray-cheeked Green Pigeon. We will walk deeper into the forest to watch Gursky's Spectral Tarsier.

Day 3. Tangkoko, Naun River
We will go to Temboan Hill to watch such birds as Sulawesi-crested Myna, Black-naped Fruit-dove, Finch-billed Myna, Minahasa Racquet-tail, Yellow-billed Malkoha, Knobbed Hornbill, Sulawesi Dwarf Hornbill.
In the afternoon, we will look for Great-billed Kingfisher in Naun River. We will go there by motorized boat. At night, we will look for Sulawesi Scops Owl and Speckled Boobook near the lodge or forest edge.
Day 4. Tangkoko - Tomohon - Lake Linow
We will check out our lodge or homestay and continue our trip to Tomohon town in Minahasa Highland. It takes around 2 hours to reach it depending on the traffic.
After checking into our hotel, we will go to Lake Linow to watch such birds as Little Egret, Cattle Egret, White-breasted Waterhen, Barn Swallow, Javan Pond Heron, and etc.

Day 5. Tomohon, Mount Mahawu
We will start early in the morning at 06:00 by car to Mount Mahawu to look for Sulawesi Pitta and Scaly-breasted Kingfisher. We will return to hotel to have breakfast and then return to Mount Mahawu for doing general birding. Our target will be Sulawesi Myzomela, Warbling White-eye, Citrine Canary Flycatcher, Sulawesi Blue Flycatcher, Sulawesi Cuckoo-dove.
Day 6. Tomohon, Sonder
Early in the morning, we will go by car to Sonder's hill forest to watch such colourful birds as Gray-sided Flowerpecker, Yellow-sided Flowerpecker, Black-crowned White-eye, Black Sunbird, Crimson Sunbird, Crimson-crowned Flowerpecker, Sulawesi Pygmy Woodpecker, Yellow-billed Malkoha, Collared Kingfisher, Sulawesi Pygmy Hanging Parrot, Sulawesi Hanging Parrot, Sahul Sunbird.

Day 7. Tomohon - Mount Mahawu
At 06:00, We will go by car to Mount Mahawu and then do early morning birding walk along the roadside to find birds that we haven't seen such as Superb Fruit-dove, Sulawesi Cuckoo-dove, Red-eared Fruit Dove, Yellow-sided Flowerpecker or Black-crowned White-eye. At around 08:00, we will return to hotel to have breakfast and pack-up our things.
At 10:00 we will check out of the hotel and then organize your transfer by car to Sam Ratulangi International Aiport.
You could continue your adventure in Indonesia or fly back home.
End of Tour, end of Service.

The entry point to take this tour is Manado city which is the capital of the Province of North Sulawesi in Indonesia.
First, you need to fly to Jakarta which is the capital of Indonesia.
After that, you could take domestic flight to Manado city by such airlines as Garuda, Citilink, Lion Air, Batik Air, Super Airjet.
There is also direct flight from Singapore to Manado city or from Guangzhou to Manado city.
When you arrive in Manado city, we will meet you at the airport and organize your trip to Tangkoko and Minahasa Highland.
