Habitat & Range
The Sulawesi Myzomela is found in lowland and montane forests, especially at forest edges, clearings, and occasionally in secondary growth and gardens. It’s one of the few birds that adapts relatively well to disturbed habitats, making it easier to spot than some other endemics.

Males are striking with bright crimson heads, throats, and breasts, contrasting with black wings and tail.
Females are duller, with olive or grayish tones, but still show a hint of red.
Constantly moving, often hovering briefly while feeding like a hummingbird.
